Dodgeball club management software

Dodgeball club management software built by a player

Running a dodgeball club means a lot of small jobs: kits, hoodies, who still owes money, who is allowed into the club, how players are developing. dodgehub puts those jobs into one free web app so the volunteers behind your club stop living in group chats.

What is dodgeball club management software?

Dodgeball club management software is the set of tools a club uses to run everything that happens around the court. The games and training are the fun part. Everything else, such as ordering club jerseys, collecting money, approving new members and keeping track of player development, is administration, and in most clubs it is done by two or three volunteers with day jobs.

Without a dedicated tool, that administration spreads across a messaging app, a shared spreadsheet, a bank statement and somebody's memory. dodgehub replaces that patchwork with one place where your members order, your managers see the full picture and your committee evaluates players. It was built by a dodgeball player for his own club, which is why it focuses on the jobs that actually eat volunteers' evenings.

The admin jobs of a dodgeball club

Ask any club manager what takes the most time and the answers are remarkably similar. dodgehub is organised around exactly these recurring jobs:

  • Kit and merchandise orders. Jerseys, hoodies, training shirts, ball packs and tournament merch, each with sizes, names and numbers to collect.
  • Payments. Knowing who has paid for what, without asking the same person three times.
  • Members and access. Letting new players join, deciding who is allowed to see and order what, and handing jobs over when volunteers rotate.
  • Selling to people outside the club. Parents, fans, alumni and other clubs who want a jersey but are not members.
  • Player development. Giving players honest, structured feedback that does not depend on who happened to watch the last training session.

A club shop that runs in order sessions

The heart of dodgehub is the club shop. Instead of an endless open shop, you run order sessions: a round of ordering with a title, a start and an end date. Members shop while the session is open, you place one combined order with your supplier when it closes, and then you hand the items out.

Products carry the fields you need, such as size, name on the jersey, number or colour, and you can attach one or several size charts. Every product can have a member price and a separate guest price. When the session closes you get totals by product, so the supplier order is a copy-and-paste job instead of detective work.

Payments and who has paid

Collecting orders is only half the job. dodgehub keeps the payment status next to every order, so tracking who paid takes seconds. Your club publishes its payment methods, for example a bank transfer with the payment reference to use, a PayPal address or custom instructions, and buyers see them at checkout.

dodgehub never touches the money. Buyers pay the club directly, report that they have paid, and a manager verifies the payment against the bank account before marking it received. If someone has not paid, one click sends a reminder email to everyone who still owes for that session.

Guest orders without accounts

Dodgeball is a community sport, and the community is bigger than the member list. Each session can have a private share link so that friends, family and other clubs can place guest and external orders without registering. They receive an order reference, can look up their order status later and, if they leave an email address, receive a confirmation.

Player development for coaches and committees

The player progress tracker turns scattered opinions into a repeatable process. A committee scores players on categories you define, each score from 1 to 10, with a live radar chart that compares the current evaluation to the club average and to the last published result. Once everyone has submitted, the result is merged into a published iteration together with written feedback.

Managers decide who sees what: players can be allowed to view their own results, and the club can choose to show published scores to all members or keep them within the committee.

Why volunteers prefer it to spreadsheets and chats

A spreadsheet is a fine tool for one product and five people. It breaks down as soon as you add sizes, optional fields, guests, late payments and a manager who only has a phone at training. Group chats are worse: nothing is structured, nothing is searchable and the person coordinating becomes an unpaid ERP system.

dodgehub is a small tool with a narrow job. There is no enterprise bloat and nothing to install. It works in the browser on a phone, in English, German, French and Spanish, in light or dark mode, and one account can belong to several clubs.

Getting started in an afternoon

You do not need a rollout plan. Most clubs start with a single order round and add the rest as they need it.

  1. Create your club and share the join link with your members.
  2. Add the products you want to sell, with their fields and size charts.
  3. Open a session, set the date window and share the member shop.
  4. Close the session, place the supplier order and mark who has paid.
  5. Add the progress tracker when your committee is ready for it.

Frequently asked questions

Is dodgehub only for dodgeball clubs?

No. It was built for dodgeball, but nothing in it is specific to the sport. Any volunteer-run club can use it, as described on the page for amateur and youth sports clubs.

Does dodgehub replace our website or membership database?

No. dodgehub covers the club shop, order and payment tracking, the team directory and the progress tracker. It does not manage fixtures, league tables, membership fees or your public club website.

What does it cost?

dodgehub is free for clubs, and every feature is included.
